Wedding Wellness: What Brides Want Before Their Wedding

This Week’s Theme: What Brides Are Carrying Before the Wedding

At the bridal show this weekend, I met so many wonderful brides, couples, and family members. We talked about wedding plans, but also about how they want to feel along the way.

28 brides filled out my form. Here’s what they shared:

  • 19 wanted better skin.
  • 16 wanted more energy.
  • 16 wanted to lose weight.
  • 15 wanted to feel less stressed.
  • 11 wanted help fitting nutrition and movement into a busy schedule.
  • 10 wanted to feel more confident in their bodies.

They could check more than one box, and many did. Which ones would you have checked?

Inside this week’s newsletter:

  • The concerns behind those checkboxes.
  • A familiar dinner dilemma and one shift to try.
  • My personal skin update, pictures and all.
  • Where to start when you want support.

I hope you leave feeling a little less alone and clearer about what you need.

Feeling Good in Your Skin

Nearly 68% of the brides who filled out my form wanted better skin. That’s 19 out of 28, and it reflects something I’ve been hearing in my conversations and sessions.

Before I incorporate a product line into my business, I spend months reading the research, testimonials, and reviews, and learning how the company operates. I want to understand what I’m offering and how it could fit the needs people share with me. Those conversations helped guide my decision to integrate this nutrition and skincare line.

I’ve also been trying it myself. As a nursing mom, I’ve struggled with my skin. I guzzle water, but my skin still felt like it needed more attention. When we took pictures after my podcast with Dr. Lisette in August, all I could see were my forehead lines.

I’d already spent over a year trying different products to find what worked for me. I started the liquid collagen three weeks ago and the skincare last Thursday. It’s still early, but I’ve been blown away by the changes I’ve noticed.

This is my experience so far, and results will vary. I can’t pinpoint which product contributed to each change, but I wanted to share what I’m seeing.

Pictures speak louder than words. Sharing mine feels vulnerable, so please be kind!

I Feel So Alone in This

I’m sharing these responses because this is something I hear in my sessions.

Some brides I met were in their mid-20s. Others were in their 30s, knee-deep in their careers. I met moms balancing children, a household, a relationship, and full-time work, sometimes two jobs.

Then there’s a wedding to plan.

You’re excited, but you’re also tired. You want to take care of yourself, but finding the time feels hard. Maybe you haven’t said much because you feel like you’re supposed to be enjoying every minute.

Those checkboxes don’t tell each bride’s whole story. But they show that if you’re feeling this way, you have company.

When Taking Care of Yourself Feels Like Another Task

A client recently shared this experience and gave me permission to share it with you.

They want to eat better and exercise. They do well for a little while, but when they get home exhausted, they just want to relax.

Ordering dinner feels easier than cooking. Then comes the scrolling: one restaurant, then another. Nothing sounds good. Thirty minutes later, they’re still looking, thinking, “I could have cooked something and had leftovers by now.”

“How do I get out of this pattern?”

Start before you’re exhausted. Choose two easy dinners to keep ingredients on hand for, and save a go-to takeout order for delivery nights. Give your tired self fewer decisions.

This week, try a schedule audit: take a bird’s-eye view of your week, notice what feels hardest, and make one shift. Could you move a task, ask for help, or create a little space before dinner?

Where Do You Start?

You may know which boxes you’d check. Figuring out what to do next can feel harder.

In a Wedding Wellness Strategy Session, we look at your routines, what you’ve tried, what’s feeling difficult, and how you want to feel. Together, we identify where to focus first and whether coaching, wellness products, or a combination fits your needs.

You’ll leave with a clearer focus and practical next steps that fit your life.

Reflection of the Week

Which concern keeps coming up for you, and what would it feel like to have support with it?

Thank you for being here and letting me share a little of my journey. Whatever season you’re in, caring for yourself can begin with one small, sustainable step.

Warmly,
Mariana
